To access the land exit the A66 at the signpost for Guardhouse following the road as it turns into a narrower lane. Continue for approximately 0.5 miles passing through open countryside and over a small bridge proceeding past a handful of residential properties situated on the right hand side. Upon passing the last cottage continue a short distance until you reach the public footpath on your right hand side which leads to the site.
