The land is located in the village of Ripponden, approximately 8.5 miles north-west of Huddersfield and 20 miles south-west of Leeds; it can accessed via junction 22 of the M62. The land itself is accessed from the south via the adopted highway known as Ripponden Old Bank and from the north via the unadopted highway known as Highlee Lane. The sections of the highway predominately run through an area of woodland.
