Property consultancy Eddisons staged a unique multi-venue auction event last month, giving more than 100 invited guests a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how its high-tech property auctions are run.
The firm’s three auction arms, Manchester-based Pugh, Sheffield-headquartered Mark Jenkinson, and Nottingham-based SDL Property Auctions, came together to deliver an industry first: a multi-venue, live-streamed auction broadcast from mortgage lender Together Money’s Stockport head office and Eddisons’ Nottingham auction studio.
With an audience of invited guests, including clients, industry partners, and professionals from across the property and auction sectors, the first 15 lots of the firm’s September national property auction streamed live from Stockport, where guests were invited to watch the action unfold in person. Bidding was conducted online and by phone.
The auction then switched to Eddisons’ Nottingham studio, where the remainder of the catalogue was broadcast to a national audience. The event provided a unique opportunity for attendees to see the full auction process in action, from the technical setup and bidder management to the moment the gavel falls, as well as meeting the teams responsible for delivering some of the UK’s most successful regional and national property auctions.
Eddisons National Director, Andy Thompson said: “This was an exciting first for us. Although bidding took place online and by phone, the day gave guests their first real insight into the pace, professionalism and energy that goes into every one of our live-streamed auctions. It was a fantastic showcase of our teams’ expertise, and a great day filled with competitive bidding, exciting hammer falls and successful results for our clients nationwide.”
The live event was held in conjunction with Together Money. The multi-site format reflects Eddisons’ continued investment in innovation and technology to enhance accessibility, transparency, and engagement for buyers and sellers across the UK property market.
