Popular Rossendale restaurant building up for auction with £500,000 guide price

The building which houses a popular Rossendale restaurant and bar is set to go under the hammer.

The Helmshore Road property is currently occupied by the highly regarded Cotton House and will be sold at auction next month. The sale is being handled by Pugh Auctions and will take place across December 6-7 with a guide price of £500,000.

The public house is currently let by way of 5-year lease at a rent of £52,000 per annum so locals don’t need to fear that their favourite local pub is disappearing anytime soon.

The property fronts Helmshore Road, at the junction with Station Road, in the village of Helmshore, in the Rossendale Valley. It has been refurbished to a high standard and also boasts covered outdoor seating as well as an upstairs function room that is available for private hire.

The restaurant's management describe it as "a casual drinking and dining destination".
