Over £5.6m Sold In Our September Online Property Auction
Written by: Paul Thompson on 10th September 2020

Our fifth property auction since lockdown took place this week, filled with a wide range of exciting and unique lots, competitive bidding and fantastic results.
The September catalogue was viewed online over 75,000 times and we had a record number of registered bidders - resulting in 800 total bids across the two days. As a result, we sold over 72% of the lots offered and helped our clients and joint agents achieve sales of over £5.6Million.
Properties going under the hammer in this month’s auction included the Trafford Park Hotel in Manchester, which sold for £825,000 on a guide price of £750,000. The iconic grade‐II listed former hotel was built in 1902 and has been disused since its closure in 2009.
Six Rossendale woodland sites were also sold on behalf of Lancashire County Council. With a combined area of 35 acres, the plots were bought for a total of £137,000.
Pugh managing director Paul Thompson said: “There is a real momentum behind our auctions that continues to build as buyers look to land and property as reliable investments in uncertain times.
“Our local authority clients are also seeing swift and profitable return on assets, with many councils opting for auctions as the trusted go‐to method of disposal.”
We are delighted to have now sold over 170 lots totalling over £16 Million for our clients using our online auction platform since lockdown started.
