AN UNUSUAL and inventive gatehouse lodge by an important Welsh arts and crafts architect in Conwy is set to go under the hammer later this month. 

Designed in 1927 by architect Herbert Luck North, famed for his distinctive buildings in the Llanfairfechan area, the two-bedroom, Grade II-listed Penrhyd Gatehouse Lodge also has a large detached garage with a flat above.

The first-floor flat consists of two large rooms, one with a kitchenette and one with a kitchen and en-suite bathroom.

The gatehouse lodge, detached garage with flat, and garden, are being auctioned on September 20 and have been given a guide price of £175,000 to £200,000.
