Online property auctions are a faster, more transparent and secure way to buy or sell a property. Since the pandemic, online property auctions quickly became the most flexible way for buyers and investors to find their next purchase, without the need to bid in person, in an auction room. Location is no longer a barrier to entry, and online property auctions have allowed sellers to attract global interest in their properties.

If you’re interested in purchasing a property locally, how do you find local property auctions? If you’re wondering how to find property auctions in your area, we’ve put together a simple guide to help you identify homes for sale locally. Alongside some advice on how to register with Pugh to take part in our online auctions.

How to Find Local Property Auctions

If you’re hoping to buy a property at online auction, you may want to begin by looking for homes for sale in your area. At Pugh, we work with homeowners nationally - so no matter where you are in the country, you could find a suitable property for purchase near you.

Head over to our property auction search page, and filter your results by postcode. You can also search for properties in your area directly from our homepage.

If you’re open to looking for properties further afield, you can filter your results to include other areas within a specific mile radius.

Your search will show you every property in your area we’re currently marketing for sale at an upcoming online auction. Browse the results, and if you find a property you’re interested in buying, create an account with us by clicking the button at the top of the page.

Creating an account enables you to find out more about your chosen property, and register to place bids. From the search result, you can book a viewing, submit an enquiry, view the legal documents, submit a pre-auction offer, or register to bid.

If you’re interested in bidding for a property, bidding registrations close at noon on the Monday prior to the auction start date.

When do online property auctions take place?

There are two ways to find out when our online property auctions are taking place:

By browsing our auction diary. We advertise all of our upcoming auctions on our website, so you can view which lots will be sold on which dates.

By checking the advert for the lot you’re hoping to purchase. Each property advert includes auction details at the top of the page. You can see the time and date the auction will end, as well as a specific time and date for bidding to open.

No matter where you’re based, online property auctions make it possible to bid from the comfort of your own home. From Bristol to Birmingham, London to Leeds, we advertise properties for sale across the UK. Simply create an account, register to bid, and participate in auctions using your phone, laptop or tablet. It couldn’t be easier!
